Carmen Juliet (Jalbert) Morrison, was born on June 9th, 1946 in St Basile, New Brunswick, Canada, the eldest of four children born to Yvon and Corinne (Martin) Jalbert. Her dedication to caring for others led her to pursue training and a career as a physical therapist and later as an occupational therapist.
She met her future husband, Gerald Morrison, while he was stationed in Northern Maine. They soon married and shared 54 wonderful years filled with love, laughter, and countless memories. Their journeys eventually led them to settle in Colorado Springs, where they built a loving home and raised their two cherished sons, David and Scott.
Her love for her family was a constant and unwavering guiding presence in their lives. Her adventurous spirit found expression in her love for travel, exploring new places and cultures throughout her life. She was also a dedicated professional, working as a therapist until her well-deserved retirement.
She is survived by her husband Gerald Morrison, her son David Morrison (Melanie), her brothers Roger and Louis Jalbert, grandsons Colin and Rian Morrison, Thomas Haynes, granddaughters Genevieve and Rowan Morrison and many nieces, nephews and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Scott, her parents and her sister Thérèse.
After courageously enduring a long illness, she passed away peacefully on April 24th, 2025 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Her memory will live on through the family she built, and we carry with us her spirit, the example she set for living well, and the valuable lessons she taught us.
A graveside memorial service will be held on September 11, 2025 at 10am at the St-Basile Cemetery in St Basile. New Brunswick, Canada.
"In one of the stars I shall be living.
In one of them I shall be laughing.
And so it will be as if all the stars
will be laughing when you look at the sky at night.
You, only you, will have stars that can laugh!
And when your sorrow is comforted,
(time soothes all sorrows)
you will be content that you have known me..."
