Euclide Belanger

Décédé(e) le 24 avril 2025

Euclide Belanger, a beacon of love and kindness, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2025, in Windsor, surrounded by his devoted family. Born in New Brunswick on December 29, 1944, Euclide's life journey was one marked by dedication, selflessness, and a passion for the simple joys in life.

A loving husband, Euclide and his beloved wife, Rose Marie, cherished 55 years of marriage, a testament to their enduring love and mutual respect. He was a guiding light as a father to Richard (Deanna) and Mark (Jennie), instilling in them the values of hard work and compassion that he lived by every day. His role as Pepe to Ryley, Jared, Stella, and Samuel was one he embraced with joy and pride, leaving behind a legacy of cherished memories and life lessons.

Euclide's family tree was rich and full, with loving branches extending to his siblings Lea (Hermel), Laurier (Suzanne), Clarence (Gaetane), Reinelde, Jeanne D'Arc (Steve), Bertrand (Lise), and Diane (Daniel). He was predeceased by his siblings Renalde, Rino, and Nelson, as well as his parents, Wilfrid and Jeannette. His life was a tapestry woven with the love and laughter of many nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends, all of whom will miss him dearly.

For 38 years, Euclide dedicated his professional life to General Motors, where he was known for his strong work ethic and amiable nature. His colleagues respected him for his reliability and his willingness to lend a helping hand whenever needed. In a memorable moment away from work, he scored a hole in one at the 7 Lakes golf course, a feat that he recounted with modest pride and a twinkle in his eye.

Euclide's interests reflected the man he was—engaged, active, and always with a sense of community. As an active member of St. Jerome Church, he put his faith into action, contributing to the community in numerous, often quiet ways.

A true handyman, Euclide was always ready to help neighbors and friends with any project, big or small. His toolbox was never far from reach, and his ability to fix anything was legendary in his circle. Camping in his RV brought Euclide and his family countless adventures and stories to share. The open road and the great outdoors were his retreats, places where he found peace and happiness.

Bowling nights were a weekly highlight, a time for laughter and friendly competition. A devoted Montreal Canadians fan, Euclide's loyalty to his team was unwavering, and he watched every game with the same hope and enthusiasm as if it were his first.

Euclide will be remembered as a man who lived his life with a loving and kind spirit. His selfless nature was evident in everything he did, from the way he cared for his family to the way he reached out to those in need. Those who knew him were touched by his warmth, his generosity, and his genuine concern for others.

As we bid farewell to Euclide, we take comfort in knowing that his spirit will continue to guide and inspire us. His was a life well-lived, full of moments that mattered and connections that lasted. Euclide Belanger's memory will be cherished, and his legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.

If you so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Hospice of Windsor.

On Monday April 28, 2025 visitation will take place at Families First Funeral Home 3260 Dougall Ave, South Windsor (519-969-5841) from 2-5 and 7-9 PM with K of C Prayer at 7:30 PM. On Tuesday April 29, 2025 family and friends are welcome to gather at St. Jerome Church (3739 Ypres Ave) for a funeral mass at 10 AM. Burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens

Deepest sympathy to Rose-Marie, Richard and Mark, their spouse as well as the grand children.
After having been sick for so long, God certainly has a beautiful place for him, without suffering and earthly needs.
He had a good life; may he rest in peace.
