Ino A. Couturier

Ino Couturier, 87, of Meriden, beloved husband of Murielle Couturier passed away on March 18, 2026, at Midstate Medical Center after a long illness.

Born on July 20, 1938, in St. Joseph, New Brunswick, Canada, he was the son of the late Aurèle and Anna (Levasseur) Couturier. He had resided in Edmundston, N.B., Canada, before moving to Meriden.

Mr. Couturier was employed by International Silver for 20 years. He worked at Kelsey Co. and was the owner of and semi-retired from Ogle Specialty.

He was a parishioner of St. Laurent/Mt. Carmel Church.

A member of the Knights of Columbus and the French Club, he enjoyed playing pool in tournaments, dancing, playing cards with friends and family, camping, loved gardening, riding his quad and snowmobile, hunting, and fishing.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Louise Couturier and Joyce Lewis and her husband Alan; one son, Jim Couturier and his significant other Kelley Thomas; four grandchildren, Alyssa Chaikowkski and her husband Mike, Lillian Couturier and her significant other Derek, AJ Lewis and his wife Rachel, Joshua Lewis and his significant other Sierra; two great-grandchildren, Logan Chaikowkski and Luka Chaikowkski; three brothers, Arsene Couturier, Real Couturier and his wife Rachel, and Roger Couturier.

He was predeceased by several nephews and nieces.

His family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, March 23rd from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 E. Main Street, Meriden, CT 06450. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Angels Parish, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 109 Goodwill Avenue, Meriden, CT 06451. Burial will follow in St. Laurent Cemetery, 1351 Hanover Avenue, Meriden, CT 06451.
