C'est avec le cœur lourd que nous vous annonçons que M. Jean-Guy Levesque, affectueusement surnommé « Pep » par ses petits-enfants bien-aimés, est décédé subitement à l'âge de 75 ans à l'hôpital HCA Florida Aventura d'Aventura le 18 décembre 2023. Il était l’époux bien-aimé depuis plus de 54 ans de son épouse Patricia Bouchard. Il laisse dans le deuil sa fille unique, Lyne Castonguay, son gendre, Raymond, ainsi que ses petits-enfants, Sara (James Shell Cox) et Nicolas (Josie Konigsmark). Jean-Guy et Patricia vivaient à Hallandale Beach, en Floride et résidaient auparavant à Edmundston.

Il laisse dans le deuil ses sœurs et frères : Marie-Thérèse (Roland), Jean-Claude, Bertrand (Nicole), Louise (feu Jean-Paul Fortin), Raynald (Marielle), France et Rachel (feu Sandro Principato).  M. Jean-Guy repose maintenant auprès de ses parents, M. Gérard Levesque et Mme Anne Turgeon, ainsi que de sa sœur Georgette Pelletier et de son frère Bob Levesque.

Une célébration pour honorer sa mémoire et son amour pour la vie aura lieu en Floride en février ainsi qu'au printemps à Edmundston. Les dates seront communiquées ultérieurement.

Jean-Guy était un entrepreneur et a reçu le prix bien mérité d'entrepreneur de l'année dans sa ville natale. Il était également un musicien accompli et passionné par sa famille. Que son souvenir continue de réchauffer nos cœurs et que son héritage d'amour et de famille perdure dans la vie de ceux qu'il a touchés.

It is with a heavy heart that we announce that Jean-Guy Levesque, affectionately known as "Pep" by his beloved grandchildren, suddenly passed away at the age of 75 at HCA Florida Aventura Hospital in Aventura on December 18, 2023.  He was the loving husband of over 54 years to his wife, Patricia Bouchard.  He is survived by his only daughter, Lyne Castonguay, his son in law, Raymond, as well as his grandchildren, Sara (James Shell Cox) and Nicolas (Josie Konigsmark).  He and Patricia lived in Hallandale Beach, Florida and formerly resided in Edmundston, NB Canada.

He is survived by his sisters and brothers:  Marie-Therese (Roland), Jean-Claude, Bertrand (Nicole), Louise (late Jean-Paul Fortin), Raynald (Marielle), France and Rachel (late Sandro Principato).  Jean-Guy was pre-deceased by his parents, Gerard Levesque and Anne Turgeon as well as his sister, Georgette Pelletier and brother, Bob Levesque.

A celebration to honor his memory and love for life will be held in Florida in February as well as in the Spring in Edmundston.  The dates will be communicated at a later time. 

Jean-Guy was an entrepreneur and received a well-deserved entrepreneur of the year award in his native city.  He was also an accomplished musician and passionate about his family.  May his memory continue to bring warmth to our hearts, and may his legacy of love, and family live on in the lives of those he touched.
