Madeleen Parent

C’est avec une grande tristesse que nous vous annonçons le décès de Mme Madeleen Florence (Boone). Domiciliée à Ste-Anne de Madawaska, épouse de feu M. Romain “Whitey” Rogat Parent, fille de feu M. Alfred Frazier Boone et de feu Mme Eunice (Wood) Boone. Elle s’est éteinte le 16 septembre 2021, à l’Hôpital régional d’Edmundston, à l’âge de 84 ans.

 

Elle laisse dans la peine, mais également avec de merveilleux souvenirs, ses enfants : Anne-Marie Parent de Tampa FL., Claudette Renock (William) de Bristol CT., Robert Parent (Charity) de Windsor Locks CT., John Parent (Joan) de Ste-Anne NB., Brian Parent de Van Buren ME. Ses huit petits-enfants: Rebecca Szoldra, Jessica Aliff, Billy Renock, Charlie Naughton, Tracey Parent, Jamie Parent, Dave Babin, et 4 arrière-petits-enfants : Felicity Naughton, Logan Naughton, Hailey Renock et Norah Babin. Ses frères et sœurs:Lois Sode (Toby) de Broakway NB., Harlane Boone, Dwane Boone et Ian Boone (Heather) tous de Geary NB. Elle repose maintenant auprès de son époux.

Ses funérailles auront lieu lundi le 10 octobre 2022 à 11 h en l’église de Ste-Anne et l’inhumation au cimetière paroissial.

La famille accueillera parents et ami(e)s à compter de 10 h lundi le 10 octobre en l'église de Ste-Anne. Les heures de visites seront de 10 h à 11 h. 

La famille désire remercier sincèrement les médecins et le personnel des soins palliatifs de l’Hôpital régional d’Edmundston pour les bons soins reçues.

PARENT, Madeleen Florence (Boone), 84, of Ste. Anne de Madawaska, NB, Canada, widow of Romain “Whitey” Rogat Parent, passed away Thursday, September 16, 2021, at Edmundston Regional Hospital. Born in Geary, NB, Canada on January 28, 1937, where she lived there until she was 18 before moving to Edmundston after marrying Whitey. Besides her husband, Whitey, she was predeceased by her mother, Eunice (Wood) Boone and father, Alfred Frazier Boone. Madeleen is survived by a sister, Lois Sode and her husband, Toby, in Brockway, NB, Canada; three brothers, Harlan Boone, Duane Boone, and Ian Boone and his wife, Heather, who reside in Geary, NB, Canada; her children, Annemarie Parent of Tampa, FL; Claudette Renock and her husband, Bill, of Bristol, CT; Robert Parent and his wife, Charity, of Windsor Locks, CT, John Parent and his wife, Joan, of Ste. Anne de Madawaska, NB, Canada, and Brian Parent of Van Buren, ME. She also had eight grandchildren, Rebecca Szoldra, Jessica Aliff, Billy Renock, Charlie Naughton, Tracey Parent, Jamie Parent, Dave Babin, and Katherine Parent and four great-grandchildren, Felicity Naughton, Logan Naughton, Hailey Renock and Norah Babin, as well as many special relatives and faithful friends. Madeleen was co-owner of Whitey’s Meat Center in Bristol, CT, before she and Whitey returned to Ste. Anne de Madawaska to help Whitey’s father, Roland Parent, with his business, the New Moon Restaurant and Groceries. Madeleen was an avid reader, could always find her curled up on the couch or in bed reading a mystery of some sort, she loved to play bingo whenever she could (and won many times because she was so darn lucky), and she loved to travel. One of her favorite places to visit was Hawaii because she loved the smell of all the flowers as you get off the plane. Funeral Services will be held Monday october 10 in the Ste-Anne-de-Madawaska Church. Visiting hours will be from 10  a.m. to 11 a.m in the Ste-Anne-de-Madawaska Church.
