Ruby Rhéaume

Mrs. Ruby Rhéaume of Edmundston passed away at the age of 93 years at the Edmundston Regional Hospital on September 8, 2020.She was the wife of the late Mr. Roger Rhéaume, daughter of the late Albert McDermott and of the late Catherine McCosham.

Ruby was an astute bridge player, an avid reader of spy thrillers and a critical commentator of both Canadian and American politics. All in all, she loved life and will be greatly missed by both family and friends.

She leaves behind her son Marc Rhéaume (Sylvie Houle), her daughter Ann Rhéaume-Brüning (Ralf Brüning), her daughter-in-law Blanche Diotte, spouse of the late Andrew Rhéaume, her grandchildren: Emanuel Rhéaume (Fanny Tremblay), Catherine Rhéaume (Marc Rivest), Émilie Houle-Rhéaume (Sylvain Bélec), Krystel Houle-Rhéaume (Luc Beauchamp), Erich Brüningand Vincent Brüning, her great-grandchildren: Édouard, Léo, Olivier, Max, Jack and Rose and also her nephews and nieces: Bill MacDonald, Janice & Daniel Frenette, Carol & OlgaJean McDermott.

Ruby is the last of the McDermott family and she follows her brothers and sisters (Catherine, Burton, Earl, Constance, Inez et Andrew).

As per Ruby’s wishes, there will be no funeral services.

Ruby’s family would like to sincerely thank all of the medical team of the Extra-Mural program for their excellent care over the past several months. The nurses were particularly compassionate and caring.

Elle laisse dans le deuil son fils Marc Rhéaume (Sylvie Houle), sa fille Ann Rhéaume-Brüning (Ralf Brüning), sa belle-fille Blanche Diotte épouse de feu Andrew Rhéaume, ses petits-enfants : Emanuel Rhéaume (Fanny Tremblay), Catherine Rhéaume (Marc Rivest), Émilie Houle-Rhéaume (Sylvain Bélec), Krystel Houle-Rhéaume (Luc Beauchamp), Erich Brüning, Vincent Brüning; ses arrière-petits-enfants : Édouard, Léo, Olivier, Max, Jack et Rose; ainsi que ses neveux et nièces Bill MacDonald, Janice et Daniel Frenetteet Carol et Olga Jean McDermott.

Ruby est la dernière de la famille McDermott, ses frères et sœurs étant Catherine, Burton, Earl, Constance, Inez et Andrew.

Selon les volontés de Ruby, il n’y aura pas de funérailles.

La famille désire remercier sincèrement toute l’équipe de soins du programme Extra-Mural pour les excellents soins qu’elle a reçus. Les infirmières se sont particulièrement montrées dévouées et bienveillantes.
